About Us
The Dubbo Farmers Market was the first established in the New south Wales Central Region, and has grown into a fortnightly market attracting over 2000 people per market who travel from around the corner, to a few hundred kilometers to get their fresh produce from some of the 60 stallholders who offer a suprisingly diverse range of products.
People come to the markets, a regular Dubbo event, as much for the joy of fresh, locally grown produce as they do for the social village atmosphere it exudes. You can catch up with your family, old friends and discover new friends whilst you sample some of the regions finest produce.
The Farmers Market committee is a group of volunteers who work in conjunction with Macquarie Valley Palette, under the banner of Macquarie Valley Food and Wine Inc., a volunteer not for profit incorporated organisation to promote the quality and value of the regions produce.
The Dubbo Farmers Market is generously supported by Dubbo City Council, Dubbo RSL Club (who provide our alternate wet weather venue) and local entertainers including Sing Australia.
The volunteer committee members are
Chair, Merrilyn Craig (Little Cupcakes); Treasurer Glen Dunkley (Fresh Plate Pancakes) and Secretary Ian Robertson (Tombstone Winery).
Craig Chapman is the market co-ordinator employed to manage the markets
